10th Annual Falls Prevention Awareness Day - Fri Sept 22

The 10th annual Falls Prevention Awareness Day will be observed on September 22nd – the first day of Fall.
Falls are common and can come with tremendous costs. 1 in 3 adults fall each year, and falling is the leading cause of fatal and non-fatal injuries.  Although falls pose risks to safety, health and independence, less than half of older adults talk to their healthcare providers about them.
Amador Lifeline equips the seniors in our community with Philips Lifeline – the #1 medical alert service in the U.S. today.  We install the equipment in the home, issue the Help Button that is worn 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week.  It is completely waterproof and made to be worn in the bath or shower.  We also provide service through maintaining the equipment, issuing new buttons or cords, and work with a fabulous group of volunteers who make monthly courtesy calls to our clients to check on their well-being.  Our Auto Alert Fall Detection button can automatically make a call if the person falls and cannot press their button.

If you know someone who could benefit from the added safety and security of having a help button of their own, please call Amador Lifeline, your only local program, for more information!

‘Help is just a button away!’
